Social Content Development Intern

About the role#

The Social Content Development Intern is a creative, hands-on role for a student interested in video production, storytelling, and digital content creation. This position supports the development of social-first content, including video capture, copywriting, and the coordination of assets across social platforms. You will work with brand, video, and social strategy teams to bring company and community stories to life while learning how social content is managed within a large organization.

What you'll do#

• Capture short-form video and photo content using mobile and lightweight production tools.
• Assist in editing video content for formats such as Reels, Stories, TikTok, and other short-form posts.
• Draft and refine social copy that complements visual content across multiple channels.
• Adapt content to meet platform-specific formats, tones, and audience expectations.
• Demonstrate an understanding of content performance trends across different social platforms.
• Support content ideation, asset organization, and day-to-day publishing coordination.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Video Production, Film, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school full-time in the Fall of 2026.
• Coursework or hands-on experience focused on video creation and content development.
• Strong interest in social media, storytelling, and digital content creation.
• Familiarity with major social platforms and current social trends.
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

• Location: Oakland, CA.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: Hybrid.
• Compensation: $20.88 to $26.02 per hour.
• Employment Status: Full-time, paid internship.
