About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Electric AKM Foundational Data Products program. You will work alongside data engineers and analysts to identify data quality insights, evaluate their impact, and translate findings into actionable improvements. The role focuses on connecting patterns in data to real-world engineering and operations outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders to refine data products and enhance the usability of the Foundry digital twin ontology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and organize reports on source data quality insights derived from asset and network data products.
- Collaborate with data users to determine the value of resolving specific data quality issues and identify improvements for ontology object views.
- Assist data engineers and the technical lead in testing new development for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop or enhance Foundry ontology object views to improve user access and data understanding.
- Deliver a final presentation covering your accomplishments, learnings, and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in PySpark or SQL.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into stories for diverse audiences.
- Basic familiarity with product management, geospatial concepts, and data analytics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
