Technical Business Analyst Intern

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience within the Electric AKM Foundational Data Products (EAFDP) program. You will work alongside data engineers and analysts to identify data quality insights, explore data relationships, and translate technical findings into actionable improvements for Engineering and Operations teams. You will collaborate with project leads to define your internship scope, ensuring the experience aligns with both program needs and your professional interests.

What you'll do#

• Prepare, organize, and create reports on source data quality insights derived from asset and network-related data products.
• Collaborate with data users to capture the value of resolving specific data quality issues and identify improvements for ontology object views.
• Assist data engineers and the tech lead in testing new developments for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop or enhance Foundry ontology object views to improve user access and data understanding.
• Deliver a final presentation covering your accomplishments, learnings, and recommendations.

What you'll need#

• Currently earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in PySpark or SQL.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling stories for diverse audiences.
• Basic familiarity with product management, geospatial concepts, and data.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently within a team environment.
