Power BI Dashboard & Reporting Intern

About the role#

This internship with the Visual Management & Insight Services team focuses on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards for Electric Risk & Compliance. You will work end-to-end on reporting projects, from gathering requirements and designing visuals to developing datasets and iterating based on feedback. Your work will provide leadership with a centralized view of compliance status, trends, and actionable data to support operational reviews.

What you'll do#

• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for Electric Risk & Compliance stakeholders.
• Design clear report layouts, visuals, and navigation to create a one-stop view for leadership.
• Develop and maintain Power BI datasets and semantic models, including the necessary measures and calculations for standardized reporting.
• Create repeatable reporting views to support the operating review cadence, including drill-downs and visibility tools.
• Prepare concise walkthroughs of dashboards to explain metrics, data sources, and navigation to stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education toward your degree during or after the internship.
• Demonstrated experience creating Power BI dashboards or reports through coursework, previous internships, or a portfolio.
• Strong attention to detail regarding visual consistency, metric definitions, and data accuracy.
• Interest in risk and compliance reporting within a regulated environment.
