About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 based in Oakland, California. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring attendance at the assigned work location at least 2 to 3 days per week. This position supports Electric Operations in ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity through planning, engineering, and maintenance activities.
What you'll do#
- Develop key metrics and dashboards to monitor business performance.
- Collate information from disparate data sources to support operations.
- Perform data analysis to inform critical product and business decisions.
- Support Workforce Planning and Strategists in developing project plans and strategic road-maps.
- Create tools to visualize data and key concepts.
- Support operations tracking, reporting, and incident investigations.
- Facilitate coordination across internal subject-matter experts.
- Lead information management processes and process map organizations to identify gaps.
- Develop applications using Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, and Power BI.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Business, Social Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- Commitment to continuing education toward a degree during or after the internship.
- A valid driver’s license for travel within the service territory to visit field offices.
- Advanced skills in PowerBI, R, and Python.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as an ambitious, results-oriented individual.
