About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Electric Operations business unit at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. You will work within a hybrid model, balancing remote work with time in the Oakland office to support operational planning, strategy, and data management.
What you'll do#
- Develop key metrics and dashboards to monitor business performance.
- Collate information from disparate data sources to support operations.
- Perform data analysis to inform critical product and business decisions.
- Support Workforce Planning and Strategists in developing project plans and strategic roadmaps.
- Create visualization tools for data and key concepts.
- Support operations tracking, reporting, and incident investigations.
- Facilitate coordination across internal subject-matter experts and lead information management processes.
- Map organizational processes to identify gaps between current designs and future goals.
- Develop applications using Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, and Power BI.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Social Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a degree program during and/or after the internship term.
- A valid driver's license for travel within the PG&E service territory.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ambitious, results-oriented approach.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, R, and Python.

- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $20.88 to $29.81 per hour.
