About the role#
The Insulation & Testing Intern role supports the Electric Equipment Repair/Insulation Testing Department by developing proactive business solutions. You will collaborate with senior team members to improve business intake processes, create department websites, and generate data visualizations. This position involves supporting high-value projects and assisting various units with data processing and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple project stages, including data pipeline development, aggregation, website modeling, and visualization.
- Support business functions, such as the chargeback process for the rubber goods department.
- Partner with senior staff to build proficiency in technical and operational issues.
- Compile and provide technical data to assist with complex projects.
- Prepare monthly progress reports regarding productivity, turnaround time, and other key business metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in an applied business or quantitative field, such as Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Accounting, or Finance, for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Must be continuing education and returning to school after the internship.
- Previous internship, co-op, or work-related experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
