AC Vehicle-to-Grid Product Intern

About the role#

The AC Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Product Intern will support the implementation of the AC V2G pilot program. This role involves assisting with research, product documentation, stakeholder coordination, and customer engagement to help integrate electric vehicles into the grid.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research on AC V2G technology, industry trends, and customer needs.
• Support cross-functional coordination across engineering, IT, regulatory, and customer-facing teams.
• Prepare materials for customer outreach and pilot onboarding.
• Track project tasks, action items, and timelines.
• Research standards and regulatory pathways relevant to V2G.
• Support team brainstorming and VGI portfolio development activities.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Public Policy, Energy Systems, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education toward a degree during or after the internship.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• An interest in clean transportation and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with EV charging, grid operations, or distributed energy resources.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Location: Oakland, California.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: Hybrid (expected to be on-site at least 2 days per week).
• Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
