About the role#
The AC Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Product Intern will support the implementation of the AC V2G pilot program. This role involves assisting with research, product documentation, stakeholder coordination, and customer engagement to help integrate electric vehicles into the grid. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with research on AC V2G technology, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Support cross-functional coordination with engineering, IT, regulatory, and customer teams.
- Prepare materials for customer outreach and pilot onboarding.
- Track project tasks, action items, and timelines.
- Conduct research on standards and regulatory pathways relevant to V2G.
- Support team brainstorming and VGI portfolio development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Public Policy, Energy Systems, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Must be continuing education toward a degree during or after the internship.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in clean transportation and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with EV charging, grid operations, or distributed energy resources.
- Note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Location: Oakland, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be on-site at least 2 days per week.
