About the role#
The Digital Content Intern will support content creation for Pacers Sports & Entertainment social channels, websites, and apps. This position covers Pacers, Fever, and Boom games, along with activities at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. You will work approximately 20 to 25 hours per week during the fall term of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with game coverage, which includes editing photo and video content.
- Write social media captions and transcribe press conference quotes.
- Curate photo galleries and highlights for the team website and player distribution.
- Shoot and edit video interviews and highlights from team practices and games.
- Capture social-style video using smartphones or professional cameras.
- Support the team during practice and postgame media availabilities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program as a junior, senior, or graduate student in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
- Strong writing skills.
- Familiarity with WordPress and Adobe Photoshop or Premiere.
- Ability to maintain professional, journalistic relationships with players and coaches.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The term runs from September through December 2026.
- You must be able to work two to three days in the office per week, in addition to games during evenings and weekends.
- This is a paid internship.
