About the role#
Pacers Sports & Entertainment is looking for a Game Operations Intern to support the coordination and execution of home games for the Pacers, Fever, and Boom. This role involves working directly with talent, mascots, and performance groups to ensure events run smoothly. You will assist with game-day logistics, including concourse setup and on-floor activities during timeouts and contests. This is a paid, on-site internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate talent appearances for the Pacers, Fever, and Boom mascots, the Fever Inferno, and the Indiana Pacemates.
- Drive the company van to support mascot appearances.
- Manage the setup and tear-down of concourse entertainment before and after games.
- Execute on-floor game activities, contests, and timeouts.
- Assist with office tasks, game preparation, and the transport of equipment to and from the Fieldhouse.
- Attend Game Operations and Marketing meetings.
- Collaborate with other NBA, WNBA, and G-League teams on various projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in a college or university program.
- Preference for majors in Sports Management, Sports Marketing, or related fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to manage multiple calendars and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external clients.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January through May).
- Time Commitment: Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week.
