About the role#
The Utah Jazz Bantam Game Day Intern supports the coordination, logistics, and execution of youth basketball games and practices. You will work with the Jazz Youth department to ensure a professional experience for participants and families during the fall and winter seasons.
What you'll do#
- Manage the daily operations of Jazz Bantam games and practices.
- Collect, verify, and enter game scoresheets.
- Coordinate with the Referee Assignor to confirm schedules and handle last-minute changes.
- Communicate with venues to manage logistics like signage, banners, and court availability.
- Schedule and oversee scorekeepers at game sites.
- Provide on-site support, including event setup and breakdown.
- Track scorekeeper hours and coordinate the payment process.
- Uphold the Utah Jazz brand by maintaining a safe and fun environment.
- Find ways to improve and streamline program operations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with coaches, parents, and referees.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently.
- Reliability and a professional demeanor.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Prior experience in youth sports or event operations is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid Utah driver license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report screening.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand or sit for long periods.

- This internship is located in Utah and requires on-site work.
- The role covers the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 seasons.
- You must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
