About the role#
As an Autonomy Engineering Intern, you will join our advanced technologies group to build the next generation of products. You will work on AI-based object detection, virtual reality, and augmented reality technologies. This role involves both office-based tasks and hands-on work with equipment like aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and scissors.
What you'll do#
- Identify problems and develop technical solutions.
- Use Python and C++ within a Linux environment.
- Apply OpenCV APIs for image processing and augmented reality development.
- Build and deploy autonomy on robotic platforms using ROS2.
- Create deep learning models with TensorFlow and PyTorch using a transfer learning approach.
- Train and deploy machine learning models using NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded boards.
- Design, model, and test systems that integrate directly with machinery.
- Learn the product development process, including life cycle management and design for manufacturing requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for robotics, computer, or electrical engineering.
- Graduation date of December 2025 or 2026.
- Fluency in C++, Python, and Linux or Ubuntu.
- Experience with neural network development frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Exposure to training and deployment workflows such as Rodolfo.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Previous internship or work-related experience.
- Participation in extracurricular activities outside of academic requirements.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and tight deadlines.
