About the role#
The Industrial Design Intern supports our team in conceptualizing new, modified, and improved products. You will use 2D and 3D tools to create sketches, renderings, models, and presentations. This role involves translating customer requirements into design solutions and working closely with engineering teams to integrate styling and branding into vehicle development.
What you'll do#
- Generate fresh ideas through sketches, models, research, and creative exploration.
- Develop visual deliverables including animations, prototypes, and digital experiences.
- Apply human-centered design principles to balance usability, functionality, and brand identity.
- Explore design tools such as VR, mixed reality, AI-assisted design, and real-time visualization.
- Research design trends, user needs, and competitor products.
- Support the visual brand language across our vehicles and products.
- Present your work and receive feedback from mentors to grow as a designer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for industrial design, product design, transportation design, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A portfolio of work submitted with your application.
- Willingness to relocate to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for the duration of the summer 2025 internship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
- Summer housing is available for interns living more than 50 miles from the work location.
