About the role#
This internship with the Developed Markets Fixed Income & Foreign Exchange team runs from May 2027 to December 2027. You will join a team of eight investment professionals in Toronto, focusing on global fixed income investing. This role involves active risk-taking and provides exposure to various asset classes, including bonds, swaps, swaptions, futures, and inflation-linked products.
What you'll do#
- Support portfolio managers in constructing and testing new investment strategies.
- Build dashboards for market monitoring, trade screening, and decision-making.
- Develop a working knowledge of global fixed income markets to form views and trade recommendations.
- Assist with trade tagging and performance reconciliation.
- Complete a term-length portfolio management case to develop investment skills.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program or a related master's program.
- Participation in a co-op program or a plan to return to studies after the work term.
- Passion and curiosity for financial markets.
- Strong research skills and a high standard of work ethic.
- Ability to communicate market concepts clearly.
- Experience with AI assisted programming.

- Compensation: $30 to $36 per hour, depending on experience.
