About the role#
This is a hands-on internship designed for students to learn the hotel business from the ground up. You will act as a utility player, rotating through various departments based on property needs. Successful completion of this internship may lead to an offer for our Leader in Development program.
What you'll do#
- Support all human resources functions at the resort.
- Rotate through different departments and entry-level service positions.
- Attend Omni Care Internship training and enrichment seminars.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of our associates.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- A willingness to learn and take on new projects.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and schedules.
- Physical ability to walk, sit, stand, and squat for extended periods during the workday.
Location & details#
- Location: Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, Austin, Texas.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
- We are looking for students majoring in Human Resources or Business Administration.
