About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Irvine, California. You will work on-site to support systems engineering activities, focusing on the definition, analysis, and validation of system-level requirements. This role involves close collaboration with hardware, software, and validation teams to ensure project goals are met.
What you'll do#
- Help define, analyze, and document system-level requirements.
- Coordinate technical reviews and follow up on action items across different teams.
- Support laboratory validation activities and project documentation.
- Develop Python-based scripts to automate measurements, control test equipment, and collect data.
- Assist with the testing and characterization of UWB devices, antennas, and wireless system components.
- Prepare reports and technical specifications to ensure project traceability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, and technical documentation.
- Basic programming experience in Python.
- Interest in test automation, data analysis, and instrument control.
- Familiarity with engineering, design, or lab tools and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Exposure to RF, wireless systems, or laboratory test equipment.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in English.
- Hands-on experience from coursework, projects, or previous internships.
- You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
