About the role#
As a Data Science and Structured Problem Solving Intern, you will work within a high-volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment. You will partner with Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Fab Operations, and business units to deliver continuous improvement solutions. You will be responsible for completing one high-business impact project, which you will research, analyze, and present to organization leadership by the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Solve engineering and analytical problems under the guidance of Quality and Operations Engineering.
- Apply 6 Sigma methodologies to optimize quality solutions.
- Participate in fab-to-fab standardization activities and local manufacturing site improvements.
- Contribute to machine learning and AI projects focused on quality.
- Develop data analysis skills to establish and track department metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science or advanced degree program in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- A strong desire to learn new skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
- Familiarity with Integrated Circuit manufacturing or design is a plus.
- Coursework in advanced statistics and data science is preferred.
- Programming skills in R or Python are desired.
