About the role#
As a Data & Analytics Intern, you will report to the Director of Quality & Reliability Engineering for Lasers. You will partner with the Quality, Finance, and IT teams to build database systems and automate key metrics. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Winter 2027, running from January through June.
What you'll do#
- Develop database systems and automate metrics for the Quality and Finance teams.
- Create a data architecture that connects information across shipping, operations, quality, and manufacturing.
- Migrate existing processes and data flows from Smartsheet to new tools.
- Lead a project to migrate information from Tableau to PowerBI.
- Assist the Quality group in Milpitas with process automation and improvement projects.
- Complete tasks as assigned by the Quality Director.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace).
- Proficiency or understanding of Python, SQL, and general programming languages.
- Experience or familiarity with MS Excel, PowerBI, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Tableau.
- Knowledge of database management, data architecture, and SAP.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate across various departments.

- Compensation: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour.
