    About the role#

    NXP is seeking an undergraduate candidate for the CMP-Implant Engineer internship within the Front End Operations organization at the Austin Manufacturing and Technology Center. You will work alongside manufacturing operations to improve performance and support the engineering team.

    What you'll do#

    • Work under the direction of an Equipment or Process Engineer on specific projects.
    • Help optimize MTBF, MTTR, equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality, and cost.
    • Participate in fab-to-fab standardization, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, and throughput improvement projects.
    • Develop logical data analysis skills to establish and track metrics that meet department goals.
    • Research, analyze, and present one high-business impact project to fab leadership.

    What you'll need#

    • Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
    • Strong skills in data analysis, teamwork, and communication.
    • Solid knowledge of SPC and its use in troubleshooting and making improvements.
    • Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
    • You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time and paid internship.
