About the role#
We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Austin, Texas, supporting engineering project planning and execution. This role involves turning data into insights that help our teams manage resources and track performance. You will be a key part of our engineering and operations groups.
What you'll do#
- Support project planning by analyzing metrics and reporting on progress.
- Build dashboards and tools to show project status and resource usage.
- Identify trends in engineering data to help with future planning.
- Create automation scripts to cut down on manual tasks.
- Assist with data collection, validation, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with operations and project management teams to share insights.
- Maintain documentation and analytics models for ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis, automation, or software development gained through research, coursework, or previous internships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with tools like Python, SQL, Excel, or Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
- You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship.
