About the role#
Novelis is hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern for our facility in Lincolnshire, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027. You will report to the EHS Leader and spend approximately 12 weeks gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the implementation and administration of plant EHS and security processes.
- Lead an EHS-related project.
- Support employee engagement activities, including training sessions and Safety Committee meetings.
- Organize and maintain EHS documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to safe working practices and team goals.
- Interest in pursuing an engineering leadership role in manufacturing.
- Preferred majors include Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, or related fields.
