About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time internship based at our Bay Minette facility during the summer of 2027. You will report to the Central EMRA Leader and gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role is paid and requires you to be on-site.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with full-time engineers to brainstorm and analyze cost-saving projects.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project completion.
- Manage special projects from start to finish.
- Present project updates to the engineering team.
- Identify areas for operational improvements.
- Perform safety walks.
- Use technical tools including CAD, blueprint reading, and the Microsoft Office package.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 4-year university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate.
- A major in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Solid business insight and an interest in becoming an engineering leader in manufacturing.
- A desire to gain hands-on industry experience before graduation.
- Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
