About the role#
As an Environmental, Health, & Safety Intern, you will work on-site at our Columbus facility. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in the steel industry. You will work alongside operational leaders to support safety initiatives and site compliance.
What you'll do#
- Support the maintenance of a safety-focused work environment.
- Help develop continuous improvement plans for safety through training and communication sessions.
- Assist with the emergency response program.
- Organize safety information and documentation from online resources.
- Accompany safety inspectors during property inspections.
- Help track and resolve work hazard complaints or concerns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
