About the role#
This is a ten-week Summer 2027 internship based in our Bloomington office. You will work within the Operations Department to gain experience in commercial real estate servicing. You will shadow various teams including Escrow and Admin, Compliance, Investor Accounting, and Loan Processing. This role involves supporting daily servicing activities, managing documentation, and contributing to team projects.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and interpret loan documents to onboard shell loans into the servicing system.
- Coordinate and execute new CMBS portfolio onboarding.
- Review and validate borrower ACH payment setups to ensure secure transactions.
- Reconcile custodial accounts and complete money movements and book balance entries.
- Support the release of collateral through lien satisfaction processing.
- Research and compile documentation for audit requests.
- Participate in a summer intern project and present findings to senior management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or Organization Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
