About the role#
Amgen is offering multiple co-op opportunities for undergraduate students within our Operations organization at our manufacturing site in Juncos, Puerto Rico. This program begins in Winter 2027 and provides hands-on experience through full-time work on meaningful projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain practical skills while contributing to our mission of serving patients.
What you'll do#
- Measure and analyze current system and process performance.
- Drive improvements in operational efficiency and productivity by utilizing technology tools.
- Identify and implement new processes across various departments.
- Support the maintenance of project plans and process performance metrics.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare project justifications and proposals.
- Engage in on-the-job training to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of at least two years of study in Biomedical, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Life Sciences prior to the start date.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule.
- Preferred qualifications include a 3.20 GPA or higher, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and the flexibility to participate for 6 months to 1 year.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and project management skills are helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
