About the role#
As a Supply Chain QC Intern, you will support the Quality team with daily operations and specific projects. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional environment by applying your academic knowledge to real business challenges. Each intern works on a structured project that addresses a current Quality priority, culminating in a final presentation of your findings and recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Support supplier quality assessments, material risk assessments, and performance trend analysis.
- Review supplier documentation and provide corrective action support.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to summarize findings clearly.
- Review existing processes and procedures to recommend improvements.
- Conduct research and prepare project materials or reports.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Laboratory partners.
- Present your project outcomes and recommendations at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Food Science, Animal Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Laboratory Science, Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and follow through on assignments.
- Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Interest in a career involving quality systems, laboratory operations, food safety, or manufacturing.
- Previous experience through internships, research, or leadership roles is preferred.
- Coursework or experience with data analysis, statistics, or process improvement is a plus.
