About the role#
As a Manufacturing Intern, you will support the launch of Neogen's Clean-Trace product. This on-site role in Lansing, Michigan, offers hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, scientific analysis, and product performance evaluation. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gather data, investigate performance trends, and help ensure launch readiness.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support the Clean-Trace launch.
- Develop and execute a project plan based on launch requirements, testing methods, and quality standards.
- Evaluate product consistency, variability, and performance trends.
- Gather, organize, and interpret experimental data to identify patterns.
- Conduct structured troubleshooting by documenting hypotheses and investigating performance questions.
- Coordinate testing and project activities across multiple teams.
- Follow safety procedures, documentation practices, and quality expectations.
- Create technical summaries, troubleshooting resources, and recommendations for leadership.
- Present project findings and conclusions to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, calculations, and basic visualization.
- Foundational knowledge of scientific methods, experimental design, or laboratory testing.
- Ability to interpret data with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and identifying data trends.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing reliable results.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work safely in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Interest in product testing, manufacturing processes, or quality improvement.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage project milestones.
