About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship with the Property Operations team at Rockefeller Group. You will gain 12 weeks of hands-on experience by rotating through three core properties in Midtown Manhattan: 745 Seventh Avenue, 1221 Avenue of the Americas, and 1271 Avenue of the Americas. You will work 33 to 35 hours per week during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, Property Assistants, Security Staff, and Chief Engineer.
- Schedule and oversee contractors and vendors.
- Prioritize in-house vendor assignments and handle minor maintenance issues.
- Manage budgets for minor maintenance requirements and supply purchases.
- Meet with clients to address facilities issues, solutions, and remediation.
- Participate in building inspections.
- Interact with tenants to receive requests for information and services.
- Create work orders and maintain databases for tenants, contractors, and vendors.
- Process vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and entering your junior or senior year.
- A concentration in property management, operations, or real estate is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in the real estate or property management industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A motivated and cooperative attitude.

- This is an on-site position located in New York, New York.
- The internship runs from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
