About the role#
Northmarq is hiring two Portfolio and Asset Management Interns for our Denver office. This ten-week summer program provides hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry. You will support our team by managing lending requirements, analyzing financial data, and reviewing property inspections. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Plan and schedule your own workload to meet project benchmarks.
- Review and process loan escrow disbursement requests.
- Support Asset and Portfolio Managers with consent requests like property management changes, loan payoffs, and lease approvals.
- Review and assess commercial property inspections from third-party vendors and regional offices.
- Work with customers to resolve outstanding deferred maintenance items.
- Participate in the Summer Intern Team Project and present your findings to senior management.
- Attend weekly mentor meetings and networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, with a preference for finance, real estate, or accounting.
- Prior internship or office experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
