About the role#
Northmarq is hiring two Portfolio and Asset Management Interns for a ten-week program at our Bloomington, Minnesota headquarters. This role focuses on maintaining commercial lending requirements by tracking deadlines, reviewing financial data, and processing escrow requests. You will work independently to manage your workload while ensuring high accuracy in all tasks.
What you'll do#
- Plan and schedule your own workload to meet project benchmarks.
- Review and process loan escrow disbursement requests.
- Support Asset and Portfolio Managers with consent requests, such as property management changes, repair extensions, and loan payoffs.
- Assess commercial property inspections completed by regional offices and third-party vendors.
- Work with customers to resolve outstanding maintenance issues identified during inspections.
- Complete a Summer Intern Team Project and present your findings to Senior Management.
- Attend weekly mentor meetings and networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Prior office or internship experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- The internship is full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- This position is paid at $22.00 per hour.
