About the role#
Northmarq is hiring two Insurance Interns for our Bloomington, Minnesota headquarters. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site as part of our insurance department, helping maintain compliance for commercial real estate loans. We provide training to build your knowledge of insurance and loan servicing throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and collect evidence of insurance and premium invoices for escrowed loans.
- Review renewal insurance coverage to identify deficiencies against lender requirements.
- Update and maintain insurance data in our servicing systems and electronic files.
- Audit new loan files to ensure accurate setup.
- Manage reports and monitor the insurance team inbox.
- Participate in a Summer Intern Team Project and present your findings to Senior Management.
- Attend weekly meetings with your mentor and networking sessions with leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, real estate, risk management, or insurance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
