About the role#
The Technology Summer Analyst Program in Risk Technology is a 10-week internship. You will work as a full member of the team, gaining exposure to Nomura professionals through seminars and group discussions. You will be paired with a buddy and a senior mentor to support your work throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Develop and integrate applications for direct use by business stakeholders.
- Own critical components of applications and participate in hands-on development.
- Collaborate with QA teams for unit and integration testing of deliverables.
- Work with BA colleagues to understand project scope and requirements.
- Use AI and machine learning techniques to enhance risk analytics, automate workflows, and build intelligent solutions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- A strong GPA and outstanding academic qualifications.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Java and Python.
- Knowledge of Web technology including HTML, JavaScript, JSP, ASP, and Unix Shell or Perl scripting.
- A solid foundation in logical and analytical data structures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- The ability to understand financial products.
- You must be meticulous and ready to take on challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Graduation window: December 2027 to June 2028.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Annualized rate of $95,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on degree program enrollment.
- Status: Full-time, paid, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime.
