About the role#
The Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience within our Americas Risk Management Division. You will work alongside professionals to provide independent oversight of the firm's financial and non-financial risks. This program serves as a primary pipeline for our full-time hiring. You will be treated as a full team member, working closely with a peer and a senior mentor to contribute to our goals.
What you'll do#
- Credit Risk: Analyze counterparty credit quality, evaluate proposed transactions, conduct industry research, and develop ad-hoc reports.
- Market Risk: Support the management of traded positions, including cash and derivatives across fixed income and equities.
- Operational Risk: Help protect the firm from non-financial risks like process failures, cyber threats, and fraud. You will support deep-dive reviews to test internal controls.
- Risk Methodology: Develop risk modelling frameworks to quantify losses and assist in research, testing, and enhancement of risk models.
- Model Validation: Review model documentation, evaluate conceptual soundness, analyze assumptions, and perform statistical data analysis.
- New Business: Provide governance and administration for new business initiatives and coordinate transaction approval processes.
- Risk Reporting & Infrastructure: Design dashboards, maintain reporting platforms, ensure data integrity, and develop scalable data architectures.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- A working knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- A motivated, self-starting approach to your work.
- Note: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annualized base salary of $95,000. It is a non-exempt role eligible for overtime pay.
