About the role#
As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in sales strategies within the cybersecurity industry. You will work alongside current sales development representatives and account executives to learn how to prospect, qualify, and manage leads. This role provides exposure to the full sales cycle, from initial account mapping to the final hand-off of demo-ready leads.
What you'll do#
- Map company structures to identify and verify workable accounts and appropriate contacts.
- Learn prospecting techniques, including mirroring, labeling, and objection-handling, through role-play exercises.
- Conduct calls and emails to secure demo bookings for the sales team.
- Organize, clean, and maintain data within the CRM database.
- Shadow sales development representatives during prospective customer interactions.
- Listen to sales call demos led by account executives to understand different sales approaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a deeper understanding of the business model.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a degree program focused on Hospitality, Communications, Customer Service, Marketing, or Business Management/Administration.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy.
- A confident, positive, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
- A competitive nature and high level of tenacity.
- Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team.
- Good computer skills.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Clearwater, Florida.
- The role is hybrid, requiring work in the office four days a week, Monday through Thursday.
- The program runs for 12 weeks, from January 25, 2026, to April 16, 2026.
- Interns are responsible for their own relocation and lodging.
