About the role#
As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the sales process at a security awareness training company. You will learn how to identify, prospect, and qualify potential customers while working alongside current sales development representatives and account executives. This program provides exposure to real sales strategies and business operations.
What you'll do#
- Map company structures and identify appropriate contacts to build workable accounts.
- Conduct calls and emails to drive demo bookings and schedule hand-offs for sales representatives.
- Organize, clean, and maintain the CRM database.
- Role-play to practice conversation techniques, including mirroring, labeling, and objection handling.
- Shadow sales development representatives and listen to sales calls to build your knowledge of the sales process.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand the business model.
- Attend all scheduled professional development events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in college.
- A degree path in Hospitality, Communications, Customer Service, Marketing, or Business Management/Administration.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a positive, confident attitude.
- Resilience, adaptability, competitiveness, and tenacity.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Good computer skills.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship scheduled for Winter 2027.
- The role is hybrid, requiring work in our Arlington, Virginia office four days a week (Monday through Thursday).
