About the role#
As an IT Contact Support Intern, you will provide technical support to Huron employees. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve both entry-level and advanced technical issues. This role requires you to work independently while maintaining effective relationships with coworkers and the user community. You will be expected to follow established procedures and service level agreements to ensure timely support.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot IT hardware and software issues.
- Manage multiple support requests simultaneously across various communication channels.
- Support devices running iOS, MacOS, Android, and Windows OS.
- Document customer interactions, technical steps, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
- Image Windows 11 laptops for break-fix scenarios in the office.
- Assist employees with Enterprise Resource Planning tasks, including time entry, expenses, and project details.
- Respond to and escalate service requests according to company policy.
What you'll need#
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues on Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms.
- Understanding of elevated permissions, registry changes, and Active Directory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on difficult challenges.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Microsoft IT certifications or Office 365 Admin experience are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position at $25 per hour.
- The role is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- You must be able to work in an office setting.
- The schedule may require flexibility, including occasional nights and weekends.
