About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Dallas, Texas. You will work on-site with the Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems team for 12 to 14 weeks. This role follows a 9/80 work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Audit processes and perform experiments in a Class 100 cleanroom or lab.
- Safely handle flammable, corrosive, and caustic chemicals.
- Use laboratory microscopes for inspections.
- Update technical documentation and present findings to the Change Control Board.
- Compile, analyze, and present project data.
- Manage and organize data using database applications.
- Perform administrative duties, such as drafting documents and preparing routine reports.
- Assist with meeting and conference coordination.
- Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least 2 years of college, with Junior or Senior standing at the time of application.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Capability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
- Coding experience in languages like Java, C#, Python, or VB is a plus.
