About the role#
This internship provides project-based learning and real-world experience for students interested in server engineering and operations. You will work on assigned projects, conduct research, and present your findings to leadership. This program serves as a pipeline for identifying talent with the goal of transitioning interns into part-time or full-time roles at the credit union. You will receive mentorship and gain exposure to the functions of an Associate IT Data Analyst.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-based research and deliver a final presentation to leadership.
- Handle data acquisition, preparation, cleaning, integration, and cataloging.
- Develop Power BI reports using Power Query, DAX, and visualizations.
- Write Python scripts and manage version control.
- Analyze and improve operational processes.
- Collaborate with internal coworkers and departments across the organization.
- Perform administrative tasks such as mailings and document imaging.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in North Carolina.
- Status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- A major in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week program for at least 10 hours per week.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, CPT, or OPT.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, hybrid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
- You will be required to work in the office a maximum of 4 days per month.
- The role involves sitting, standing, and filing for prolonged periods, and the ability to lift or carry up to 5 lbs.
