About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the agronomy sector. You will work alongside our operations staff to support daily activities and customer service goals. This position is designed for students pursuing an agriculture-related degree or certification who want to gain practical skills in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Safely deliver and distribute agronomy products.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and electrical work on equipment to reduce downtime.
- Assist with facility, roadway, and rolling stock maintenance.
- Manage inventory and warehouse procedures.
- Support in-season operations, including seed handling, delivery, sorting, and product returns.
- Shadow custom applicators and assist with plant operations like tender driving and field service calls.
- Attend training and professional development sessions.
- Provide customer service while maintaining a professional image.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing.
- A satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like bending, reaching, and maneuvering on equipment.
- Commitment to safety policies and reliable work habits.
Location & details#
- Locations: Little Rock, Sanborn, Sioux Center, Boyden, and Ireton, Iowa.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Schedule: Rolling term. Hours vary based on demand and may include long shifts, weekends, and holidays during peak season.
- Environment: This role is on-site and involves working in various weather conditions around mechanical equipment.
