About the role#
This 10-week Summer Analyst Program provides hands-on experience within the Sustainability team at Nomura Asset Management International. You will work alongside investment professionals, participate in team projects, and receive mentorship throughout the summer. This is an on-site, full-time program based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Learn about ESG frameworks and sustainable finance regulations, including SFDR.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of ESG data systems and proprietary databases, such as UN SDG alignment frameworks.
- Research emerging sustainability topics, including biodiversity, climate risk, and social impact metrics.
- Gain exposure to sustainable investment products, industry classification systems, and ESG data providers like MSCI and Sustainalytics.
- Assist with the analysis of sector-specific ESG considerations and materiality assessments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or a STEM-related field.
- Graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and ESG investing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
