About the role#
This Purchasing Co-Op position supports global supply chain management activities, specifically assisting the Senior Global Commodity Manager for Semiconductors. You will gain hands-on experience in a technical manufacturing environment, bridging the gap between classroom theory and professional procurement practices.
What you'll do#
- Support Global Commodity Managers with data collection, validation, and analysis to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Assist with RFI and RFQ events by gathering quotations, consolidating technical responses, and preparing comparison summaries.
- Prepare and organize negotiation and contract documentation with high attention to detail.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
- Support supplier performance reviews, including QBR preparation and follow-up on open items.
- Contribute to procurement benchmarking and help implement best practices to improve efficiency.
- Monitor supply market trends and support forecasting, specification aggregation, and contingency planning during supply disruptions.
- Optimize manual or repetitive processes by improving data workflows and reporting tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong analytical skills and a result-driven mindset.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
