About the role#
Nexteer Automotive is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op for the Fall 2026 term. This position provides students with hands-on experience by working alongside professionals in a manufacturing environment. You will assist with organizational operations and project execution across various departments, including finance, marketing, and quality.
What you'll do#
- Support core processes, procedures, and documentation for project execution.
- Assist your supervisor with administrative and clerical tasks.
- Communicate project status and relevant issues to the team.
- Coordinate with internal customers and external vendors.
- Monitor preventative maintenance, including production and furnace maintenance.
- Manage the uniform ordering program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Communications.
- A minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Status as a full-time student carrying at least 12 credits during the Fall and Winter semesters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate activities with attention to detail.
- Legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Saginaw, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Availability: 20-32 hours per week during the Fall and Winter semesters.
- Preference: Students with two years of availability for the co-op program.
