About the role#
This co-op position provides hands-on experience in a laboratory environment at Nexteer Automotive. You will support the validation group during various stages of product launches and interact with different customer groups.
What you'll do#
- Assist technicians with setting up tests.
- Run test activities based on provided specifications.
- Process test results and write reports.
- Organize component storage.
- Transport test parts between labs and to various suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year university local to Saginaw.
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- Status as a full-time student carrying 12 or more credits during Fall and Winter semesters.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with others.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- This position does not provide immigration sponsorship.

- Terms: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: 20-32 hours per week during the Fall and Winter semesters.
- This is a paid position.
