About the role#
The Sustainability & ESG Co-Op reports to the Executive Director of Sustainability & ESG. You will assist with global sustainability initiatives through a cross-functional approach. This role involves working across departments like supply chain, engineering, and data analytics to support organizational efficiency and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Support the Sustainability Work Group by assisting with scope setting, benchmarking, and analysis.
- Manage sustainability risks and controls while validating ESG data for internal decision-making.
- Collect unstructured data for trackers covering energy efficiency, carbon emissions, and sustainable procurement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop projects focused on ESG risk management.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to assist business decision-makers.
- Prepare and deliver findings and recommendations for senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year university local to Auburn Hills, MI.
- Pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.
- Ability to translate technical data into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
