Sustainability & ESG Co-Op 2026

About the role#

The Sustainability & ESG Co-Op reports to the Executive Director of Sustainability & ESG. This cross-functional role involves supporting global sustainability initiatives, including environmental and social topics, supply chain management, data analytics, and ESG risk management. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll do#

• Support the cross-functional Sustainability Work Group (SWG) through scope setting, benchmarking, and analysis.
• Assist in managing sustainability-related risks and controls, and validate ESG information to support data-driven decision-making.
• Gather unstructured data for a consolidated tracker of sustainability performance, such as energy efficiency, carbon emissions, and sustainable procurement.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop projects focused on ESG risk management and data analytics.
• Prepare and deliver communications, findings, and recommendations for senior leadership.

What you'll need#

• Currently attending a 4-year university local to Auburn Hills, MI.
• Pursuing a degree in Sustainability/ESG, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization.
• Ability to interpret data analytics and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders with non-technical backgrounds.
