About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work up to 37.5 hours per week over a 10-week period, from June 7 to August 13. The role focuses on providing service to banking clients by processing financial transactions and supporting daily branch operations. You will be expected to maintain accuracy in your work and follow all bank policies regarding privacy and confidentiality.
What you'll do#
- Process routine financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Use a teller cash recycler and assist with cash proof, filing, and mail processing.
- Reconcile ATM and coin machine operations, including changing coin bags and maintaining equipment.
- Promote bank products and services by identifying client needs during interactions.
- Maintain accurate reports, records, and files.
- Travel within the branch network as needed to support operations.
- Work to ensure zero teller differences and controllable losses.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds, such as coin bags or boxes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and staff.
- Ability to work independently, manage your time, and prioritize tasks.
- A valid driver's license for travel between branch locations.
- Students pursuing degrees in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields are welcome to apply.
Location & details#
This is an on-site role. You may be assigned to branches in Manasquan, Old Bridge, Sea Girt, Ocean Township, Howell, Manahawkin, Tuckerton, Shrewsbury, Metuchen, Colts Neck, Bay Head, Point Pleasant, Spring Lake Heights, Brick, or Wall, New Jersey. Work shifts occur Monday through Saturday between 7:45 AM and 6:15 PM.
