    About the role#

    The Research Analyst Intern role offers the chance to apply economic concepts in a professional services setting. You will work alongside experts in financial economics, corporate finance, energy, and regulatory economics. This program focuses on building research and data analysis skills while learning to prioritize tasks in a team environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Build financial, economic, and operational models using Excel, such as valuation models or cost of capital estimates.
    • Create data-based solutions using programming languages like Python, R, SAS, Stata, or VBA.
    • Conduct research through financial statements, market analysis, literature reviews, and document examination.
    • Write memos to provide insights and support expert reports.
    • Assist in preparing expert reports and presentations for legal and regulatory contexts.
    • Collaborate with senior consultants and experts to develop solutions for clients.

    What you'll need#

    • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, business, accounting, or computer science.
    • A GPA of 3.7 or higher.
    • Strong academic performance.
    • Teamwork and leadership skills.
    • Intellectual curiosity and a creative approach to problem solving.
    • A high degree of ownership and commitment to your work.
    • General knowledge of finance and financial concepts.
    • Strong communication skills.

    • Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Status: Full-time and paid position.
    • Compensation: $1,850.00 per week.
    • Note: We do not begin interviewing candidates until November 2026.
