About the role#
As a Research Analyst intern in the International Arbitration department, you will join project teams to work alongside senior consultants and experts. You will apply economic and financial concepts to real-world projects, including breach of contract disputes, commercial conflicts, and investment treaty arbitrations. This program provides an opportunity to improve your research and data analysis skills while learning to manage project tasks.
What you'll do#
- Build economic, financial, and operational models using Excel, such as valuation models or cost of capital estimates.
- Create data-based solutions using programming languages like R, Python, Stata, SAS, and VBA.
- Conduct statistical and econometric analysis.
- Perform comprehensive research including market analysis, literature reviews, and document examination.
- Write memos and assist in preparing expert reports and presentations to support legal and regulatory proceedings.
- Collaborate with team members at all levels to develop solutions for clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a quantitative field like economics, business, finance, or mathematics.
- Strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- General knowledge of finance and an interest in learning financial concepts.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and creativity when approaching problems.
- A high degree of ownership and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Strong communication skills.
