About the role#
New York Life is seeking a Sales Summer Intern for the Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) program. This is a 10-week, full-time internship based in Farmington, Connecticut. You will work alongside Sales Representatives and Account Executives to gain hands-on exposure to the employee benefits industry and contribute to the success of a local sales office.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Sales and Account Management teams with business development efforts.
- Strengthen client and broker relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations.
- Organize information and analyze data using platforms such as Salesforce, BenefitFlow, and Tableau.
- Work with fellow interns on a capstone project and present recommendations to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Modality: Hybrid (3 days per week in office).

- Compensation: This is a paid position.
