About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides hands-on experience in insurance underwriting within our Group Benefit Solutions division. You will learn how to evaluate risk, assess potential customers, and develop pricing recommendations for group insurance products. This program is designed for students interested in applying analytical and quantitative skills to real-world business outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Participate in structured training sessions to build a foundational understanding of Group Benefits underwriting principles.
- Partner with an experienced underwriter through one-on-one mentorship.
- Analyze real underwriting cases by assessing risk factors and contributing to pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a summer-long project that strengthens analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attend speaker sessions and learning events led by company leaders across various business functions.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This role is not available to those requiring employment-based immigration sponsorship, including OPT or CPT.
