About the role#
New York Life is seeking a Sales Summer Intern for our Group Benefit Solutions team. This 10-week program provides hands-on exposure to sales and account management. You will work with experienced professionals to support business development and strengthen relationships with brokers and clients. The role is designed to build your business acumen and provide practical experience within the employee benefits industry.
What you'll do#
- Support Field Sales and Account Management teams in daily operations.
- Learn how to develop and maintain broker and client relationships.
- Gain knowledge of the NYL GBS product portfolio.
- Collaborate across Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations.
- Use tools like Salesforce, BenefitFlow, Tableau, and generative AI to organize information and analyze data.
- Participate in mentorship, networking, and professional development sessions.
- Work with fellow interns on a capstone project and present your findings to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Interest in client-facing work and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Confidence to engage with professionals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
