About the role#
The New York Life Direct Summer Internship Program offers a 10-week experience within the Insurance Operations Strategy & Support team. You will work on operational projects that impact customer experience and business performance. This role involves collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve how we serve our policy owners.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, tracking, and execution of operational projects and strategic initiatives.
- Research and analyze workflows, process data, and performance metrics to identify trends.
- Evaluate existing business processes to recommend improvements for efficiency.
- Explore, design, prototype, and test AI-enabled solutions, including custom GPTs and workflow automations.
- Develop presentations, executive summaries, business cases, and process maps to share your findings.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, or involvement in campus, professional, or community activities.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 term.
- The role is hybrid, requiring in-office collaboration at our Tampa, Florida location Tuesday through Thursday.
- We do not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
