About the role#
This internship serves as a launchpad for a career in account management. You will work alongside sales professionals to develop selling techniques, manage client relationships, and contribute to business-to-business revenue growth. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in financial services sales, business development, and customer relationship management while learning the foundations of credit analysis and dealership operations.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers to help them achieve sales objectives.
- Support and market GM Financial programs, systems, incentives, and rewards.
- Act as a liaison between dealers, the Credit Center, and internal funding teams to resolve business needs.
- Analyze dealer data using reporting tools and take action based on findings.
- Learn the responsibilities involved in the sales, service, and support of GM franchise dealers.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing.
- At least 21 years of age with at least one semester remaining at the start of the internship.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to business leaders.
- Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, including evaluating outputs for accuracy, ethics, and data protection.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks).
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22 per hour, plus a furnished apartment, car-pool vehicle, and travel expenses.
